What Happens When Your Trial Ends?

Plans and Billing · 3 min read

In short

When a 30-day trial ends without a plan being confirmed, the Profile moves to the Free plan of its family. Trial features are locked, not deleted: Records, Offerings and settings stay in place and can reopen when an eligible plan that includes them is active, within that plan’s limits and the retention period that applies.

Before you start

  • The trial covers one exact plan for one Profile family, within trial limits. The effective limit is the lower of the plan’s allowance and the trial cap.
  • Billing details for the trial, including what is needed at the end of the 30 days, are confirmed during setup rather than stated here.

Steps

  1. Watch the bannerDuring the trial, Home shows “Everything in <plan> is unlocked within trial limits.” with the days left.
  2. Choose a plan before the end dateBilling › Plans shows the trial end date and See plans. After the trial, what stays available depends on the plan that is active for the Profile: its features and limits apply, and anything beyond them is locked and retained as described below.
  3. If the trial ends firstBilling shows “<plan> trial ended” with the note “Trial features are locked — not deleted.” The Profile is on Free until another valid plan is confirmed.

What to expect

  • Records beyond the Free plan’s limit lock and are retained; they can reopen when an eligible plan with a higher limit is active, within the retention period.
  • Custom domain setup preview ends. A trial never makes a custom domain live, so no domain was serving your Profile; setup details are kept or cleared under the retention policy. Published Articles are hidden until the Profile is on Pro or higher. A premium template reverts to a Basic template.
  • For Business Profiles, Orders, RFQ carts and manual payment instructions switch off; existing Order records stay visible in your dashboard.
  • Locked work is retained for the recovery period that applies to each area and may then be deleted under the retention policy. The expiry notice shows the dates for your Profile.

Troubleshooting and limitations
