A published business website at nichevio.com/yourbusiness with your services, opening hours, location, photos and a clear way to get in touch. Optionally, from Business Starter, an inquiry form that saves each message in your dashboard.
- Your business name and a one-line description of what you do
- Three to five services or products with a sentence each (Business Free lists up to 5 services; Business Starter up to 25)
- Opening hours, address and the phone or WhatsApp number you answer
- Three good photos of your work or your place (Business Free shows up to 3 gallery images; Business Starter up to 25)
- Links to the social accounts you keep up to date
1. Decide the one job your website must do
Many small business websites share one problem: they try to say everything and ask for nothing. Before you open any tool, finish this sentence: “When someone lands on my page, I want them to ___.” For a salon that is usually “send an inquiry about a service”. For a tutor it is “request a trial class”. For a bakery it is “see what we make and message us”.
Everything else on the page exists to make that one action easy and credible. Take Juniper Salon in Ballard, Seattle: the page lists four services with durations, the hours, the address and a short inquiry form, which needs Business Starter. Prices are shared on reply, so the page does not promise a rate the salon may not be able to keep.
2. Gather the content before you build
Writing inside a builder leads to half-finished sections. Collect the content in a note first. The table below is the order visitors expect and what to write for each part, using the salon as the worked example.
Write for the visitor, not for yourself. “Twelve years of experience” matters less than “Occasion styling trials available in December; tell us your date.”
3. Create your Business Profile
On Nichevio, your website is a Profile: a mini-site built from sections called Widgets. A business uses a Business Profile, which adds a business category, locations (Branches), menus and catalogs, and later Orders.
- Create your accountSign up with your email. Nichevio signs you in with a six-digit email code; there is no password to remember.
- Name your WorkspaceThe Workspace is the home for everything you build. Its Workspace Username is your dashboard address, not your public link. Your public Profile gets its own separate address in a later step.
- Choose Create your first profileAnswer a few questions: the Profile type (choose Business), your business category and what you want visitors to do. Nichevio builds a starter Profile with a template and the recommended Widgets for that category.
- Pick your Profile addressYour public link is nichevio.com/yourbusiness. Short names read better on cards and bios. Addresses are subject to availability.
4. Arrange your sections with Widgets
Open the Builder from your Profile. The left column lists the Widgets on your page in order; the right column is a live phone preview. Use + Add Widget to open the library, Move up and Move down to reorder, and the show/hide toggle to park a section without deleting it.
For a service business this order works well: Hero, Services, Opening Hours, Locations / Branches, Portfolio / Gallery, Lead Form (from Business Starter), Contact Card and WhatsApp CTA. Visitors read top to bottom on a phone, so the thing they came for sits high and the ways to reach you sit at the bottom and in the sticky button.
- Keep the Hero to a name, a headline and one button.
- In Services, write the duration and what is included; leave prices out unless they are fixed.
- Opening Hours and Locations / Branches come from your Branch, so they update in one place.
- Three strong photos in Portfolio / Gallery are enough to start, and that is the Business Free limit. On Business Starter, add more only when each one shows something new.
5. Add a way to get in touch
Direct contact works on every plan: the Contact Card shows your phone and email, and the WhatsApp CTA opens a chat in the visitor’s own WhatsApp. That is communication, not a form; nothing is saved on your side.
An inquiry form is different. From Business Starter, when a visitor submits the Lead Form, the message is saved as a Record in your dashboard under Requests, with a reference, the visitor’s details and a status you update as you reply. You answer from your own phone or email; Nichevio keeps the list.
Ask only for what you need to reply: name, email or phone, the service and a message. Each extra field is one more thing a visitor has to fill in before they can send.
6. Preview on a phone and a desktop, then publish
Use Preview in the Builder to switch between the phone and desktop views. Many visitors arrive on a phone from a shared link; people who look you up at work often see the desktop website. Both come from the same Widgets.
Choose Publish profile. If a required step is missing, such as a contact method, the dialog says so and lists what to fix. When the page is live, Copy link gives you the address to share.
7. Put the address where customers already are
- Your Instagram and Facebook bios, and your WhatsApp Business profile.
- Your business listing on maps and directories, as the website field.
- Printed material: the shop board, visiting cards, bills and packaging.
- Your email signature and the auto-reply you use when the shop is closed.
One address everywhere means the page becomes the place you update, instead of correcting hours in six different apps.
Common mistakes and limitations
- Writing a brochure. Visitors want hours, services and a way to reach you, in that order.
- Publishing without hours or an address. These are often the first things people check before they call.
- Promising fixed prices or “same-day” service on the page when both depend on the request.
- Expecting a template to add features. A template changes the design; forms that save Records, Articles and Orders depend on your plan.
- Treating the WhatsApp button as a record. It opens a chat in the visitor’s app and does not save anything in your dashboard.
- Leaving the page unpublished after a redesign. Edits go live only after Update & publish.
