1About These Terms
These Subscription Terms apply when you buy, trial or hold a paid Nichevio plan. They form part of the Terms of Service, and terms such as Workspace, Owner, Profile and Plan have the meanings given there.
Refunds of subscription payments are covered by the Refund Policy. The purchase itself is also subject to the Buyer Terms of Dodo Payments ↗, described in Buying a Plan.
2Plan Families and Plans
Nichevio has two plan families. The family of a Profile is set by the kind of Profile it is.
- Plans you can choose yourself
- Individual Free, Individual Starter, Individual Pro, Individual Growth
- Custom plan
- Individual Premium
- Plans you can choose yourself
- Business Free, Business Starter, Business Pro, Business Growth
- Custom plan
- Business Enterprise
Growth is the highest plan you can buy yourself in both families. Individual Premium and Business Enterprise are not sold through self-serve checkout. They are available only through an approved custom offer, described in Custom Plans.
A plan applies to a specific Profile. Plans are managed from the Billing area of the Workspace that contains the Profile. A plan from one family cannot be applied to a Profile in the other family.
The features and limits of each plan are shown on Pricing and in your dashboard. Free plans do not need a subscription.
3Prices
The price, currency and billing period that apply to your purchase are shown on Pricing and again at checkout, before you pay.
For self-serve plans, taxes that apply to your purchase are determined by Dodo Payments as merchant of record and shown at checkout. For custom plans, the offer states how tax is treated.
4Billing Periods
You can choose monthly or yearly billing for a self-serve paid plan. Monthly billing charges the monthly price for each month. Yearly billing charges the annual price at the start of each year of the subscription. Pricing shows both the effective monthly amount and the exact amount billed for a year.
5Buying a Plan
The Owner of a Workspace, or a team member whose role allows it, can buy a plan for a Profile from the Billing area of the dashboard.
Payment takes place on a checkout page run by Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record: it sells the subscription to you, processes your payment, calculates and collects any applicable taxes and issues your invoice. When you complete checkout, you accept the Buyer Terms of Dodo Payments ↗, which apply to the payment transaction alongside these terms. Dodo Payments handles your payment details under the Privacy Policy of Dodo Payments ↗.
A plan becomes active when Nichevio receives verified confirmation of the payment from Dodo Payments. Returning to Nichevio from the checkout page does not by itself activate a plan. If confirmation has not yet arrived, Billing shows the purchase as pending.
6Renewal
Self-serve plans
A self-serve paid subscription is recurring. At the end of each billing period it renews for another period of the same length, and the payment method you used is charged, unless the subscription has been cancelled or a change has been scheduled before the period ends.
The Billing area shows your current period and, once it is confirmed, the date and amount of the next renewal.
Custom plans
An accepted custom offer runs for the subscription duration the offer states for the billing period you chose. Whether it renews at the end of that duration, and on what terms, is set out in the offer. Nothing in the self-serve renewal terms above extends a custom plan beyond what its offer states.
7Introductory Trial
A 30-day introductory trial is available for one eligible Starter, Pro or Growth plan. Trial billing details are confirmed during setup.
The trial works as follows:
- It lasts 30 days and covers one plan you select: Individual Starter, Pro or Growth, or Business Starter, Pro or Growth.
- You get the features and limits of the selected plan, subject to the trial limits shown when you start it. Where a trial limit is lower than the plan’s limit, the trial limit applies.
- It does not include features of a higher plan or of the other family, Individual Premium, Business Enterprise, add-ons such as additional Branch capacity, or any feature not included in the selected plan. For example, a Business Starter or Pro trial does not include ordering.
- On a Growth trial, connecting a custom domain is limited to setup and instructions; the domain does not go live during the trial.
- The trial is available in your first Workspace, and its activation is reviewed before it starts.
When the trial ends, features above the plan your Profile then has are locked. Content above that plan’s limits is locked or unpublished rather than deleted straight away, and is handled under the retention rules described in the Privacy Policy. When Your Trial Ends explains what you will see.
8Changing Your Plan or Billing Period
You can change to a different plan in the same family, or switch between monthly and yearly billing, from the Billing area.
Before you confirm a change, Billing shows the new plan and billing period, the amount, and the date the change takes effect. The amount and date shown at that point apply.
Moving to a lower plan and switching from yearly to monthly billing take effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you keep the features of your current plan.
When a lower plan takes effect, features that plan does not include stop, and content above its limits is locked or unpublished rather than deleted straight away. For Business Profiles moving below Growth, new Orders and RFQs and payment instructions stop; existing Orders remain available to read, subject to retention.
9Cancellation
How and when a cancellation takes effect depends on how you cancel:
- In Billing: the Owner, or a team member whose role allows it, can cancel at any time before the end of the current billing period. The next renewal does not take place, and Billing shows the date the plan ends.
- Through the subscription management page of Dodo Payments, where it is offered: cancel there before the end of the current billing period. The cancellation is applied to your subscription in Nichevio once Dodo Payments confirms it.
- By asking Dodo Payments to cancel for you: the Buyer Terms of Dodo Payments ↗ ask buyers who cancel this way to contact Dodo Payments at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period. A request made later may only take effect from the following period.
- If you need help, contact us through the Contact page, with Billing selected, before the end of the current billing period. The cancellation takes effect once it is recorded on your subscription.
Once cancelled, a plan ends at the end of the billing period you have paid for. Its features stay available until then. After that, the Profile moves to the Free plan of its family, and content above the Free plan’s limits is locked or unpublished rather than deleted straight away.
Cancelling does not by itself refund any payment. Refund requests are handled under the Refund Policy.
10Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, Dodo Payments may try the payment again, and Billing will show that action is needed. Update your payment method through the link in Billing where it is offered.
While a payment is unresolved, you cannot upgrade the plan or add capacity. The features of your current plan continue only for the period that has been paid for, and for any grace period shown in Billing.
If the payment is not resolved, the subscription may be cancelled or expire, and the Profile moves to the Free plan of its family, as described in Cancellation.
11Price Changes
Your subscription continues at the price you accepted at checkout. If we change the prices that apply to existing subscriptions, we will tell you before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
Your past invoices always keep the amounts you were charged.
12Custom Plans: Individual Premium and Business Enterprise
You can ask for Individual Premium through the Individual Premium page or for Business Enterprise through the Business Enterprise page. Sending a request does not create a subscription or give access to any features.
If we approve a request, we send an offer. Each offer states:
- the Profile it applies to, and its features and limits;
- the price and currency for each billing period offered (for example monthly or yearly);
- how tax is treated;
- the subscription duration for each billing period offered, and whether and how the subscription renews at the end of that duration; and
- the date by which the offer must be accepted.
These are separate things. The billing period is how often you are charged. The subscription duration is how long the subscription you accept runs. The acceptance date is how long the offer stays open before it expires, and does not affect how long an accepted subscription lasts.
Only the Owner of the Workspace can accept an offer. An Individual Premium offer applies only to an Individual Profile, and a Business Enterprise offer only to a Business Profile.
The terms of an accepted offer apply together with these Subscription Terms. Where the offer says something different, the offer applies on that point.
13Add-ons
Some capacity, such as additional Branches, may be offered separately from a plan where your plan allows it. Its price and terms are shown before you buy it. Add-ons are not included in the introductory trial.
14Invoices and Billing History
Dodo Payments issues an invoice or receipt for each payment. The Billing area shows your billing history, including dates, amounts, currency and status, with links to invoices where they are available.
Order summaries and payment instructions that a business shows to its customers on Nichevio are not Nichevio invoices.
15Payments to Businesses Are Separate
These terms cover only payments for Nichevio plans. Payments that Visitors make to businesses for Orders follow each business’s own payment instructions and go to that business. Dodo Payments is not used for those payments, and Nichevio does not process, hold or settle them. See Orders, Quotes and Payments to Businesses.
16Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when our plans, billing or the law change. The version and date at the top of this page show which version applies. If a change materially affects an active subscription, we will tell the Owner before it applies.
